The Advocacy LL.M. Program, administered by the Stephen S. Weinstein Trial Advocacy Program, allows  law graduates at any stage in their career to advance their legal advocacy skills. LL.M. students will enhance their technical trial skills, learn new litigation strategies and tools, master courtroom technology, and focus on the application of professional ethics in the pretrial and trial settings. The Program is flexibile and offers an array of courses, externships, and legal scholarship opportunities.

Trial Advocacy Specializing in Federal Criminal Law
Practicing federal criminal defense law requires training not found in any JD program. Our program combines classroom instruction on substantive federal criminal law, skills training, and live client representation in a federal defenders office. Each professor is a skilled litigator with years of practice experience. During clinical placement you work alongside federal defenders, assist in the defense of people charged with federal crimes and participate in federal defender training programs.

Requirements: To be considered for admission, you must be a law school graduate who has either taken a bar exam or plans to take the bar exam prior to beginning the program.  Bar admission is required in order to appear in federal court during the clinical component of the program.
