The National Jurist announced it will recognize 49 law schools for excellence in public service careers in its Winter edition of preLaw magazine. The study recognizes the best schools in three categories — public interest, government and prosecutors/public defenders. It is based on curricular offerings, employment placement, and debt, starting salary and LRAP programs.
It will recognize 20 schools in each category, with some schools appearing in more than one. Three law schools appear in all three categories — American University, George Washington University and University of Notre Dame.
