Knowing your chances of passing the bar exam, after Robert Anderson, an associate professor at Pepperdine University School of Law, released a bar exam caluclator that predicts your chances of success. The calculator is based on LSAT score, law school class rank, law school ranking, and the state of the bar examination. Anderson said the calulator is only experimental, because he has not had a chance to calibrate and validate its predictions.

Defenders of the status quo in legal education, after President Barack Obama gave a jolt to radical change by telling an audience of students, in off the cuff remarks, that law school should only be two years instead of three. Obama suggested students would “be better off clerking or practicing in a firm, even if they weren’t getting paid that much.” He said this would allow students to pay less for tuition, making law school more affordable. However, many law schools may be reluctant to welcome such a drastic change that would reduce revenue, especially since enrollment has declined in recent years. Legal experts on both sides of the argument said Obama’s push for change could spark legal education reform.
