Catholic University, located two miles north of Capitol Hill, embodies the Catholic faith as much as any law school in the nation. Its academic philosophy is deeply rooted in Catholic tradition and emphasizes “legal training as a form of service-leadership.” It has a strong focus on ethics, morality, faith and reason and is ranked the fourth most devout Catholic law school in the nation.
More of the school’s graduates work in government than in any other field — 22.5 percent. That contributed to the school’s placement in preLaw’s Best schools for public service, government, where it ranked 18th in the nation. The school offers both a concentration in government and externships.
Catholic also boasts one of the best facilities in the nation. It ranked 16th in the nation and second best in the Washington, D.C. region, thanks in part to 413 square feet per student.
