Mercer University-Walter F. George School of Law
Mercer is one of America's oldest insititutions in the nation since its founding in 1873.
The Law School is named after Walter F. George, a 1901 Mercer Law School graduate who became a justice of the Georgia State Supreme Court and later a U.S. Senator. Mercer Law is located in Macon, Georgia, about 80 miles south of Atlanta.
With an enrollment of 394, students can enjoy a small and supportive community. The school goes through great lengths to prepare their students for practice and was given an A for their trial and advocacy litigation program by preLaw magazine.
Mercer Law gives students the opportunity to participate in clinical training through Experietial Education that allows students to work on real cases before they graduate. Moot court and mock trial programs is another avenue toward perfecting the legal practice before graduation.
