Located blocks from a federal courthouse and a state capitol that services almost half the practicing attorneys in the state, Mississippi College of Law draws much of its strengths from its location in Jackson, Miss.
Of the many perks the Baptist school owes to its location, four justices on the Mississippi Supreme Court, three judges from the Mississippi Court of Appeals and numerous state judges come to the school to teach.
The school views writing as a fundamental part of a student’s legal practice. They emphasize writing curriculum in every stage of legal training.
As a private institution, tuition is higher than state schools. But at $35,510 per year, the school is less than most private schools in the nation. Additionally, the school locks in a student’s rate upon admission, so no student will see an increase in their three years.
