The one-year, 24-credit curriculum takes a functional, interdisciplinary approach to policies and laws that promote sustainability. To accommodate working students, many courses are offered in an intensive two-day format and each course has an associated web course. Students leave the classroom for courses at work locations and research facilities to explore problem-oriented approaches with engineers, scientists and government officials. Students have the opportunity to prepare LEED certification in the Green Associate program.

This one-year post-J.D. degree provides an opportunity for experienced attorneys as well as recent law school graduates to spend an academic year full-time on the UF campus developing in-depth expertise in environmental and land use law. The LL.M. program is a full-time one-year program providing advanced training in environmental and natural resources law.
