Graduates seeking judicial clerkships, after U.S. News & World Report released the State and Local Judicial Clerkship Rankings. Rutgers School of Law — Camden held the top ranking with 39 percent of its 2011 graduates employed with a judicial clerkship. The University of South Dakota School of Law also held a spot as one of the best in the country, ranked fifth nationally with 27 percent of its 2011 graduates employed as state and local judicial clerks.

Innovative advertising, after The University of Richmond School of Law released a text-message style advertisement which received a lot of flak from the law school community. The advertisement, written in text lingo, features some of the University of Richmond’s statistics, including LSAT scores, its U.S. News & World Report ranking and information regarding its acceptance rate. The ad closes with its now infamous catch phrase, “Dude, Richmond Law!”
