General Studies

Individuals with a passion in a particular legal subject may customize an LL.M. degree through the Self-Directed LL.M. Program. To earn the 24-credit degree the student combines elective courses with required credits in scholarly research and writing, and skills or ethics. A student who earns at least 18 credits in a chosen legal subject may have it designated on the LL.M. diploma.

Corporate Law & Finance

Become an expert in corporate law and finance by enrolling in WMU-Cooley's live, interactive online Corporate Law and Finance LL.M. program including courses on business formation, corporate governance, public company disclosures, litigation, antitrust issues, and other courses on corporate transactions. Classes are taught by experienced attorneys and conveniently scheduled on weeknights 6 - 9 p.m. EST or Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST. Average degree completion time is 18 months with students beginning in September, January, or May.

L.L.M. in Global Legal Studies: American Law

The LL.M. in Global Legal Studies is an LL.M. in American Law for students with a foreign law degree. Students choose courses consistent with their individual interests and objectives for a general track of study, or specialize in corporate and commercial law; public law; or legal analysis, writing and advocacy. An oil and gas law certificate is also available. LL.M. students must earn a minimum of 24 credits in order to graduate.
