Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law is offering a new graduate certificate in health law, which will provide J.D. students with the opportunity to specialize in the expanding field.

“The Hall Center for Law & Health is a signature program at the McKinney School that dovetails perfectly with IUPUI’s focus on the life sciences,” said Dean Gary Roberts.

The school hopes that the certificate will signal to potential employers that the students have specialized knowledge, experience, and skills in various aspects of health care law and policy and have engaged in a “rigorous course of specialized study.”

The Hall Center for Law & Health at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law offers a strong curriculum in health law and policy, with courses on Public Health Law, Health Quality & Safety, Bioethics, Food & Drug Law, and Health Information Technology. Students who want to earn the Certificate must maintain a required grade-point average in Health Law courses and complete a research or experiential capstone course.
