Bar Review: Themis

Summary

Themis Bar Review is an online lecture-based program and is one of the most popular bar review courses in the nation. Based on the most current research on memory retention and comprehension, the Themis course is designed to help students study efficiently and effectively for the bar exam. Additionally, Themis publishes their students’ state bar exam pass rates every year. They count every student by collecting all students’ results. If they are unable to confirm a student’s exam result, the student is counted as unsuccessful.

Themis offers innovative tools such as an Adaptive Calendar and Study Pacer, which keep students’ study schedules on track. The MBE Skills Workshops provide test-taking strategies and tips, while QuizBuilder allows students to create personalized multiple-choice practice quizzes. Essay Writing Workshops give detailed approaches for each subject, and flashcards and unlimited essay grading are included.

Strengths

Themis keeps lecture segments short, averaging 15 to 20 minutes each; this methodology improves retention and combats mental fatigue, and is the feature students like most about the program. Themis offers more than 3,600 MBE-style practice questions, including questions licensed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
