Glen Weissenberger, dean of the DePaul University College of Law, was fired Thursday, allegedly for reporting that the original documents DePaul submitted to the America Bar Association for its accreditation review contained significant errors.
Weissenberger sent a letter to the Consultant on Legal Education for the ABA to notify them of the mistakes in time for the ABA Accreditation Committee meeting next week.
Provost Helmut Epp informed faculty Thursday via e-mail of the change in the law school’s leadership.
Members of the DePaul Student Bar Association have started a Web site for students and faculty to petition for Weissenberger’s reinstatement.
