The University of Iowa has hired the University of Kansas law school dean to take the same post at UI’s College of Law.

Carolyn Jones, who is stepping down after six years as dean, will return to the Kansas faculty. Agrawal will be the 17th Iowa dean and its second female dean.

Agrawal has been dean at Kansas since 2006. Prior to Kansas, she served as a law professor, senior associate dean, associate dean for academic affairs and interim dean at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for nine years.
