Hofstra Law School is an official partner in the American Bar Association-Environmental Protection Agency Law Office Climate Challenge Program.
The Climate Challenge encourages law offices, government offices, citizens groups, courts, law schools and other law-related entities to take specific steps to conserve energy and resources, as well as reduce greenhouse emissions.
The ABA Law Practice Management Section is co-sponsoring this initiative. To qualify, Assistant Dean for Administration and Operations Jeffrey A. Dodge instituted new paper management practices by using paper with at least 30 percent recycled content, and switching copier and printer default settings to double-sided.
Hofstra Law School has also been printing all official publications, including the 60-page annual alumni magazine, the J.D. Prospective Student Guide, fellowship brochures and event invitations, on recycled paper.
