Widener University School of Law plans to open an Environmental Law Clinic to educate the public about legal procedures. To accompany the launch of the clinic, Widener will also be celebrating the school’s new Environmental Law Center.
The Center is the first academic-civic initiative to operate between the Widener campuses in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and in Wilmington, Delaware. The center is intended to harness the expertise of the environmental law faculty from both locations in an effort to benefit students and the public.
Likewise, the new Clinic aims to empower citizens by helping them figure out how the system works and how to be their own advocates.
Both additions to Widener will provide opportunities for students to engage in environmental law in preparation for careers in environmental law, energy, and climate change.
