Gonzaga University School of Law
Gonzaga University School of Law is a private Jesuit law school located in Spokane, Washington.
Since its founding in 1912, Gonzaga Law has provided exceptional legal education through a relationship-driven and community-centric approach to reflect the institution’s humanistic, Jesuit, and Catholic traditions and values.
With a vision of instilling graduates with the ethical values, substantive knowledge, and practical skills they need to become effective advocates and compassionate counselors, Gonzaga Law is home to around 400 students in its traditional and Executive Two-Year J.D. programs.
While at Gonzaga Law, students engage in coursework and academic programming that is related to business, technology, social justice and leadership and is grounded in practical skills and legal theory. Additionally, students have the opportunity to study abroad with the Gonzaga Law in Florence program to gain global legal perspectives.
Students also participate in service-oriented legal work through eight clinical programs, including the recently established Lincoln LGBTQ+ Rights Clinic and the Catholic Charities Immigration Clinic. Additionally, the law school is home to the Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Center for Law, Ethics and Commerce, which provide students with opportunities to explore critical and emerging issues through research, education and community engagement. Wherever they are in their education journey, students are encouraged to explore their passions and put those passions into practice.
Situated on the banks of the Spokane River, the four-story law school building is designed entirely for legal education and includes classrooms, seminar rooms, and a two-story courtroom in addition to offices and lounges. When students are not engaging in the classroom or studying in the facility’s Chastek Library, they are frequently found enjoying the Spokane area's natural beauty.
