University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law is a public law school founded in 1895 as the Kansas City School of Law, a private, independent law school located in downtown Kansas City. It is one of four law schools in Missouri.
In addition to robust course offerings, the law school’s entrepreneurship concentration prepares lawyers to make their own success stores. That includes a comprehensive solo/small firm practice curriculum and a post-graduate incubator — where recent graduates are given office space and guidance to help them start their own practices.
Fun fact: The School of Law is one of only six American law schools to have produced both a President of the United States – Harry Truman – and a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court – Charles Whittaker.
