UToledo to drop tuition by 13%

University of Toledo students, who will see tuition drop 13 percent next year. In-state tuition, which is open to Ohioans and residents of Monroe County, Michigan, will drop from $20,579 to $17,900 in fall 2015. Out-of-state tuition will decrease from $33,752 to $31,074 which is a nearly 8 percent drop. Dean Daniel J. Steinbock said the choice to drop tuition is an effort to make the school more competitive and attractive to students. The law school received more than 1,400 applications three years ago, but this year it only received 475 applications.
